A Cyberattack Targeting an Israeli Hospital

Israel announced that one of its hospitals had been subjected to a cyber attack. This is the first attack of its kind that targeted an Israeli hospital.  This is a ransomware type attack.

The hospital administration announced in a statement that it is moving to use new equipment as an alternative to the basic equipment.  In the same statement, it said that the attack on the hospital was unexpected and considered the first attack.

Israeli forces are still investigating the cyber attack.  The target hospital declared that it was not affected in the attack.  At the same time, Israel stated that some information was lost as a result of the cyber attack.  Israel added that it is working to recover it.

The hackers left an email address to contact them.  Where any ransom-type attack is left an email to communicate with the attackers.  So far, the hospital has not communicated with the hackers and is working on restoring the information on its own.
