What is Virtualization-Based Security (VBS)?

VBS is a Microsoft implementation or feature of Virtualization-Based Security, abbreviated VBS.  Security solutions and keep them protected from other vulnerabilities that affect the system.

VBS uses a Windows hypervisor to create this virtual safe mode and through it can enforce restrictions that protect critical system and operating system resources or to protect security assets such as authenticated user credentials.

what is exactly VBS role?

Thanks to VBS, if malware can get into the kernel of an operating system, potential vulnerabilities can be greatly limited because a hypervisor can prevent malware from executing code or accessing platform secrets.
This feature negatively affects the performance of games in particular, in varying proportions, depending on the game.

Is there any harm in closing VBS?

No problems at all with closing the VBS security feature, if you have concerns or have installed Windows 11 and feel that performance has decreased, follow the steps above and turn off the vbs feature.
